Terms & Conditions

Last updated: February 27, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of opacdesk.com and any related pages, forms, intake tools, routing tools, chat tools, downloadable resources, and related services operated by OPAC Desk (“OPAC Desk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

OPAC Desk is a legal triage and information desk. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. The Service is intended for general informational, organizational, and routing purposes only.

1) No Legal Advice

Nothing on this website, in our forms, in our tools, in chat outputs, in downloadable materials, or in any related content should be interpreted as legal advice, legal strategy, legal representation, or a substitute for speaking with a licensed attorney. Any information provided through the Service is general and informational only.

2) No Attorney-Client Relationship

Your use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship, fiduciary relationship, or confidential advisor relationship between you and OPAC Desk. Submitting information through our website, forms, routing tools, intake tools, or chat tools does not make us your attorney, law firm, or legal representative.

Because no attorney-client relationship is formed, you should not treat information submitted through general site tools as protected by attorney-client privilege.

3) Eligibility to Use the Service

You must use the Service only in compliance with applicable laws and only for lawful purposes. By using the Service, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or are using the Service with appropriate adult supervision where permitted by law.
  • You will provide truthful, current, and non-misleading information.
  • You will not use the Service for fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, or harmful purposes.

4) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, authority, or situation.
  • Submit false, misleading, malicious, or defamatory content.
  • Upload, transmit, or submit malware, harmful code, or disruptive material.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disable, overburden, reverse engineer, scrape, or compromise the Service.
  • Use the Service to harvest data, spam others, or conduct unauthorized automated activity.
  • Submit sensitive personal identifiers through general forms or chat fields unless a clearly designated secure step specifically asks for them.

5) User Responsibility

You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, deadlines, filings, communications, and next steps. The Service may help you organize information, understand general options, or identify possible next-step paths, but you remain solely responsible for deciding what to do.

If your matter is urgent, involves a deadline, court date, hearing, removal risk, safety issue, or any other time-sensitive concern, you are responsible for acting promptly and seeking appropriate professional help.

6) Third-Party Products, Services, and Links

The Service may include links to third-party websites, offers, products, services, memberships, tools, or providers. Those third parties are not controlled by OPAC Desk unless expressly stated otherwise. Your use of any third-party site or service is governed by that third party’s own terms, conditions, and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, claims, policies, pricing, results, actions, or failures. A link, referral, recommendation, routing path, or mention does not guarantee suitability, availability, or outcome.

7) Intellectual Property

The Service, including its branding, design, layout, text, graphics, forms, workflows, tools, downloadable materials, logos, and related content, is owned by OPAC Desk and/or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for personal or internal business use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, sell, sublicense, or exploit any part of the Service except as expressly permitted in writing.

8) No Guarantees or Promises of Outcome

We do not guarantee any legal, financial, procedural, or personal outcome. We do not guarantee that using the Service will resolve your issue, qualify you for a service, produce a specific result, prevent loss, avoid court action, or improve the outcome of any matter.

Any examples, scenarios, explanations, next-step suggestions, or resource recommendations are provided for general informational purposes only.

9) Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPAC Desk disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, or uninterrupted access.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, always available, or free of delays, bugs, interruptions, or omissions.

10) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPAC Desk and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPAC Desk’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us directly for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the 30 days before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

11) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OPAC Desk and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, service providers, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12) Suspension or Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you violated these Terms, used the Service improperly, created risk for us or others, or where suspension is necessary for legal, operational, or security reasons.

13) Privacy Policy

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and handle information. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding site use, these Terms control. For data handling practices, the Privacy Policy controls.

14) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. By continuing to use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to the updated Terms.

15) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles, except to the extent superseded by applicable federal law.
